Let’s go to Budapest!
Piero: how about thinking of our first trip? I'd like to talk about Budapest (click HERE to see all the images). How did the idea come and what was planned?
Angela: the idea of Budapest came because we wanted to close the summer holidays: a long weekend in September, 4 days, a European capital and a limited budget. Four days are enough to visit the city. From the bridges over the Danube to the parliament, from the splendid citadel of Buda, to the stately and elegant Pest, from Margaret Island to Heroes' Square, one of the symbols of the city: you won't get bored!
Piero: any practical suggestion?
Angela: regarding the accommodation we chose the apartment in "Lord Residence", in the parliament area and a few hundred meters from the station: excellent value for money! The center can be easily reached on foot or by metro. Taxis are also quite cheap. Don't miss out and book in time the “Chef Café Budapest”, unforgettable goulash and a friendly staff. The owner, a true fan of Ferenc Puscas, guided us to discover the Hungarian traditions but, above all, the different variants of Unicum, which is the famous Hungarian liqueur (you cannot refuse to buy a bottle of "Unicum Riserva"). Anyway, food is not a problem.
Piero: the nice thing is that you can live and walk around safely with the family, even with small children. Maybe don’t climb Gellert Hill, it is not suitable for children and high heels ... However, there is no danger. The city is elegant, clean and safe. It would be a mortal sin not getting lost while walking along the Danube where all the restaurants are, accompanied by the sound of gypsy violins or not to enjoy a boat trip admiring the city lights.
Angela: how to organize these four days? As usual, we must not miss the most interesting things. At the same time we do not want to get our travel mates tired ... Let's enjoy a video preview of what awaits us !!!
